A water-resistant laminate or TPU layer is built into the protector - shielding the mattress from spills, perspiration, and moisture that would otherwise penetrate into the core. For the 150 GSM variant, full waterproofing is achieved.
Critical for hotel rooms, hospital beds, and high-turnover accommodation where liquid exposure is frequent.
Diamond Stitch Pattern
The 100 GSM and 150 GSM variants are manufactured with a diamond stitch pattern - a reinforced quilting technique that distributes fill evenly, prevents bunching, and maintains the protector's shape through repeated washing.
The stitch density is verified at the stitching QC checkpoint before the protector proceeds to finishing.
4-Side Fitted Elastic
Elastic is attached on all four sides of the mattress protector - not just at the corners. This deep-pocket elastic fitting ensures the protector stays in place through guest movement and frequent linen changes.
Elastic tension is tested at the QC stage. Protectors are manufactured to match the mattress depth specified by the buyer.
Breathable Top Fabric
The top fabric - cotton or poly-cotton - is selected to maintain breathability while the waterproof barrier below provides protection. The combination prevents heat build-up without compromising moisture defence.
Breathability is a key comfort factor in hotels where guests spend extended time on the bed surface.
Wash-Durable Construction
Hotel and hospital mattress protectors are washed at high temperatures in industrial laundry equipment. The construction at Lottus is validated for repeated industrial wash cycles - maintaining shape, elasticity, and barrier integrity.
Shrinkage tolerance is built into the specification so the protector fits correctly after washing.
Custom Size Manufacturing
Mattress protectors are manufactured to the mattress dimension specified by the buyer - including non-standard depths, oversized king and super-king sizes, and bespoke specifications for heritage properties or export orders.
